We're all excited about Lucky Chic and bringing you an innovative and fun luxury shopping experience. Adrianne, Michelle, Jay and Joel all live and work as neighbors in the Chelsea and Soho neighborhoods of New York City, and Yana's a little further north. Sue comes in from Long Island and Sinan is from New Jersey. Here's a little about who we are:
Adrianne spent 16 years on Wall Street in institutional finance, including the last 10 years at Morgan Stanley. After graduating from Harvard College, she served as an officer in the US Army Reserves since 1992, and currently serves in her reserve capacity as an operations officer for the Department of State’s Office of Counterterrorism. Adrianne is also active in local and global charitable efforts. In her spare time, she tries to spend quality time with her French fashion model and photographer husband, Jean Philippe, and their West Highland White Terrier, Pongo. From Adrianne’s 16 years on Wall Street doing blitzkrieg guerrilla shopping for the most beautiful fashions and goods in the world, to today’s exciting hunt for our discerning Lucky Chic fans, she is always tracking the items that you will want. She is ecstatic that she now has a real business reason to indulge openly what was previously her not-so-secret passion!
Michelle is originally from New York but has been living and working in Hong Kong for the past three years. She recently moved back to New York and joined Lucky Chic. Prior to Lucky Chic, Michelle was a Vice President of Sales at a Canadian real estate asset management firm. She also worked at Bloomberg and Philip Morris USA. Michelle got a degree in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin and received a full athletic scholarship from the Women’s Tennis Team. Her junior tennis career included a top 10 national ranking, two national championship titles, and junior sponsorships from Adidas and Wilson. Michelle’s elegant fashion sense combines youth, ladylike hints of sensuality and the practicality of an athlete!
Sue is from Long Island and was previously an Art Director at This Week, a subsidiary of Newsday.
Jay has a well-traveled background in media and spends the inordinate amount of time shopping online. Jay's favorite designers include Martin Margiela and Costume National.
Yana brings extensive experience in the media and entertainment industry. She worked at News Corp for eight years as the Director of European Business Development. Prior to that, she was a Media Stock Analyst at JP Morgan. For the past three years, Yana has lived and worked in both Europe and Latin America and is now back in New York. She enjoys travel and keeping abreast of the international fashion and trends.
Joel is responsible for overseeing the technical team at Lucky Chic. He’s served on the boards of several companies in the technology and startup arena and is also a published author in the field of computer programming. An avid sports nut, Joel enjoys reading the New York Post, and following the back page tribulations of the Jets and the Knicks. Some of Joel’s favorite designer brands include Loro Piana, Theory, Derek Lam, and Paul Smith.
