There are several types of auctions on Lucky Chic. In the usual auction, the price of the item increases by $0.10 (a dime) each time someone places a bid. However, for some auctions, the price of the item may increase by $0.05 (a nickel), $0.02, or even $0.01 (a penny). Keep an eye out for these auctions, because it means that the winning price will be even lower, and the winner will get an even better deal!
First, CONGRATULATIONS! When the clock hits zero (00:00:00), and you are the last bidder, you’ll be able to purchase the item at the winning price. To do this, go to the "My Home" page, and click on "My Purchases" to see the link to purchase the item. You will also receive an email that contains a link that will take you to the page to purchase the item. You will have 7 days to purchase the item. To pay for the item, just click on the link that says "Pay". Make your payment with a credit card or debit card. The payment is handled through PayPal or Authorize.net, which are two of the leading payment methods today.
The auction ends when the clock reaches zero (00:00:00). In general, Lucky Chic schedules auctions for items to last 24 hours. Most of the bidding generally happens within the last few minutes, because it makes the most sense to bid at the end, when you have the best opportunity of being the final bidder. Since the clock increases by up to 20 seconds every time someone places a new bid, the auction may take up to a few hours beyond the originally scheduled 24 hours.
